Columbus has successfully earned recertification to ISO 9001:2015, an internationally recognized standard specifying the requirements for quality management systems.
The ISO 9001 quality management systems standard helps Columbus demonstrate to customers that we can offer products and services of consistently high quality. It also acts as a tool to streamline our processes and make us more efficient. The Columbus ISO 9001 registration is confirmation of our longstanding commitment to continually improving quality management systems to ensure customer satisfaction.
“Columbus is committed to providing products and services that exceed the requirements and expectations of our customers on a consistent basis. We continuously implement initiatives to improve and streamline our processes to increase efficiency and quality,” says Ajay Handa, CEO of Columbus.
Certification for ISO 9001 involves rigorous auditing and improvement of business processes and must be renewed every three years. The recertification process is very similar to the audit phases of the initial certification process. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire recertification and audit process was conducted virtually. Columbus conducted a full ISO recertification during the challenges of the pandemic, with zero ‘non-conformance issues’ or negative findings.
Columbus has been certified to ISO 9001 since 2009. Our compliance certification is registered – and continually updated and reaffirmed – through the services of ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc. The latest edition of the standard is ISO 9001:2015 and was published in September 2015.
