Overview

We provide instrument-focused engineering required to develop challenging Earth and space science instrument hardware and innovative technologies within technical and programmatic constraints.  Engineers at Columbus support instrument-specific disciplines such as optics, cryogenics and fluids, detectors, lasers and electro-optics, and microwave sensors to enable science and observational measurements for missions. We partner with the science community from across NASA, other government and international agencies, industry, and academia.
