The ProTech Weather Domain is an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract awarded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to support its weather forecasting and research efforts. As a contract holder for ProTech Weather, we are proud to be part of this critical program.

Task Areas
The ProTech Weather program is designed to support NOAA’s weather forecasting and research efforts through the following task areas:

  • Scientific Services: Provide scientific services and expertise in meteorology, hydrology, climatology, weather, space and atmospheric sciences
  • Program and Project Management, Consulting, and Training: Program and project management, consulting, and training services to assist in program execution, improvements and measurements for scientific support services
  • Engineering Services for Systems and Facilities: Provide engineering services such as overall systems engineering or for its various components, facilities engineering, and engineering for a specific weather and climate system or collection of weather and climate systems, etc.

Weather Forecasting Support

The primary users of the ProTech Weather Domain are focused on weather forecasting, research, and monitoring. The program supports NOAA’s National Weather Service (NWS) and other Line Offices by providing services that enhance the accuracy and reliability of weather forecasts, warnings, and advisories.

Global Weather Monitoring

The ProTech Weather program also supports international partnerships and global weather monitoring efforts, providing critical information to help predict and prepare for severe weather events. By leveraging the expertise and resources of our contract partners, we are able to contribute to NOAA’s mission of protecting life and property from weather-related hazards.
