Tom Anderson leads the corporate strategic planning and development process for Columbus. In addition, he leads the growth initiatives for the National Security practice and coordinates various aspects of the Health Services practice. Mr. Anderson is a recognized and experienced leader supporting the U.S. public sector in areas of Information Systems, Health Sciences and Engineering Services. He has over 35 years of experience in leading both publicly traded and privately held organizations. During this time, he has developed business opportunities and grown public sector businesses in a wide range of markets including transportation, space exploration, defense, health services, environmental sciences and energy. Mr. Anderson’s leadership skills include strategic planning, managing profit and loss, and the successful growth of companies.
Mr. Anderson has a distinguished leadership background in the GovCon industry, including executive leadership positions at SAIC, Wyle, CSC and Raytheon Company. Prior, he spent many years in leadership positions with Federal Data Corporation. He was part of a team that grew the business from a small to mid-size business before selling to NGC.
Mr. Anderson holds a Master of Science in technology management from George Mason University and a certificate from the Federal CIO Council. He was chair of the GMU Technology Management Advisory Board from 2007 to 2011 and the GMU Cyber Advisory Board from 2014 to 2016.
