Columbus Technologies and Services, Inc., been selected as National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Jet Propulsion Laboratory's (JPL) 2009 Small Business Subcontractor of the Year for its significant contributions to the Agency's small business program. Columbus was recognized at the at the 2nd Annual NASA/JPL Small Business Symposium and Awards Ceremony, which was held on November 16-17, 2009, at the Bethesda North Marriot Hotel & Conference Center in Bethesda, MD.

Selection criteria for the Small Business Subcontractor of the Year categories are as follows:

1. Performs well as subcontractor on NASA contracts
2. Provides value-added and outstanding support—on schedule and within cost—to the prime contractor and innovative solutions to problems / issues that arise in the execution of the contract
3. Works cooperatively with NASA and prime contractor personnel
