Research Center

Columbus Technologies and Services, Inc.'s Bear Fight Research Center provides space science mission planning, instrument design and science data analysis for several international satellites to a variety of research organizations including:

  • Jet Propulsion Laboratory
  • UCLA
  • Brown University
  • NASA Headquarters

Recent research activities include:

  • Composition and structure of the surfaces of Solar System objects
    • Ices and non-ice materials and molecules on the surface of the Galilean satellites
    • Evolution and present state of Ceres
  • Optical properties of geologically interesting materials
    • The formation and stability of hydrated and hydroxylated minerals
    • Adiolysis of ices, carbon-bearing, and hydrated materials.

Current and on-going areas include the study of Small Ice-silicate Bodies.
