The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) is the Navy's source for a full range of innovative products and services that provide complete training solutions. This includes requirements analysis, design, and development, and full life cycle, continuous learning support for aviation, surface, and undersea operations.
Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM)/Electronic Training Environment (ETE) Contract
Columbus provides management and technical support services to the AIM Program Manager’s office, as well as to subject matter and technical experts and is CMMI Level 2 compliant. Our services include:
- Program/project management support;
- Definition of software functional and operational requirements;
- Translation of business and technical requirements into operational software code;
- Software development with veteran C, C++, Visual Basic, and .Net programmers;
- Design, development, testing, implementation, and post-deployment support for learning content development and maintenance software tools;
- Development and maintenance of user documentation and training course materials;
- Engineering and technical assessments of new programming tools, software techniques, and data standards; and,
- Technical and administrative support to the AIM Functional Requirements Board and Configuration Control Board.
The AIM/ETE contract is a Fixed Price/Time & Material (FP/T&M) contract; Columbus has an excellent history of controlling costs
Examples of our AIM/ETE support include:
- Creation of a complex Interactive Multimedia Instruction Library to support development, management, and delivery of a wide variety of complex graphic and visualization products and optimization of program performance on existing computing platforms.
- Same-day software design, development, and delivery of program modifications requested by the AIM program management office and authorized end-users.
- Documentation and maintenance of incremental changes to established AIM programs;
- Maintenance of parallel code bases for different user communities;
- Generation of custom reporting and data manipulation routines for multiple end-users; and,
- Creation and maintenance of detailed code documentation.
