About us Community Involvement
The OCEAN Program

Columbus has a strong corporate culture not only to serve the interests of our customers, but also to give something back to the communities in which we work. We are committed to devoting a portion of our corporate resources, in the form of our employees' time and company profits, to improving the lives of all of our children.
Columbus created OCEAN- Ongoing Community Education And Nurturing to improve the lives of children by teaching them about technologies integral to their successful education, careers, and social interaction. We also wish to build enthusiasm and support for NASA and JPL, increasing public awareness of missions and projects, and encouraging young people to consider vocations in the Space Program.

We match employee contributions for Red Cross disaster relief efforts, sponsored employees who participated in the “LiveStrong Challenge” and “Run For the Cure”, sponsored the only high school in the DARPA 2005 Grand Challenge, and contribute to charities such as the Lance Armstrong Foundation and a trust for Women and Children in Crisis.
